Imperial Oscar, trained by the late Willie Codd, was Jack Hendrick's first ride in a point-to-point in March 2017, and he has gone on to ride for the likes of Jonathan Fogarty, Pat O'Rourke and Gordon Doyle. However the Wexford native, who is a second cousin of former champion rider Jamie Codd, has enjoyed most success since teaming up with Cormac Doyle, who incidentally also supplied him with his first success on Would You Bypass at Tinahely in November 2018. The 2020/21 season saw him reach double figures for the first time with 10 winners, in addition to a first track success at Down Royal in February 2021 on Sean Doyle's Longque.
