Thomas Costello became the latest member of the Costello dynasty to ride in point-to-points when he made his debut aboard The Bonny Boy at Rathcannon in November 2018. From Co. Clare, Costello's father Tony is synonomous with the sport having ridden some top-class horses in point-to-points including Best Mate, Florida Pearl and Our Vic, whilst his uncles Tom and Dermot were also successful riders, ridden over 200 winners each. Thomas added to the winning streak in the family when steering to victory Asian Master for trainer Tony Costello at the Bellharbour meeting in February 2023.
