Mark Scallan is one of the few riders combining a career in the saddle with training, and he has been a regular in point-to-points for well over a decade with the first of his over 50 winners in the saddle between the flags coming courtesy of Tricky Ricky at Punchestown in February 2005. A first training success came in none other than a four-year-old maiden, as he partnered his own Brianstorm to win at Fairyhouse in 2016.
