County Cork native Michael Kenneally began his point to point career aboard Mickthesoldier at Boulta in December 2023. His first point-to-point winner came in March 2024 on Can Daddy Dance at Borris for trainer Johnny Hurley. Prior to this, Michael had his initial success on his first ride as a flat apprentice for Newmarket based trainer Michael Bell. Following a very successful second season point-to-pointing where he rode 14 winners during the 2024/25 campaign, Michael made the switch to the professional ranks.
