Placed on two previous occasions, Ivegotdapower was always upsides or in front and he stayed on stoutly to beat Zmiinyi by a short head. The winner is now likely to go to the Doncaster Sales next month.

Bootfullofbags is owned by Edel Fitzgerald, a near neighbour of handler Killy from outside Fethard.

The winner may now possibly contest a hunter chase.

Several horses held chances on the run to the last with a line of four disputing the lead, but it was the Sam Curling trained Patrick's Wells who battled gamely to the line under Pa King to score for owner Toni Quail, an amateur rider who works for Curling. The son of Mount Nelson improved from his promising sixth placed debut run at Ballycahane when he was partnered by his owner Quail.
