Fergal Stack began his career in the saddle on the pony racing circuit before making his point-to-point debut at Stradbally in April 2017. Within a month, The Baler, the horse on which he had ridden on that occasion in Stradbally, would carry him into the winner's enclosure in a Taylorstown Open Lightweight. Stack has also ridden for the likes of Gordon Elliott, Peter Flood, Thomas O'Neill and Gemma Dewhurst.
