In a race which saw four of the six runner field separated by less than four lengths at the final fence, C'Est Ta Chance who travelled notably well into the latter stages of this contest and led with a good jump two out, held on late to withstand the persistent effort of the runner-up Desert Ian in the straight. It's now likely the French Bred winner will head on to the Tattersalls Cheltenham sale.

In a strongly run contest, Stand Up And Fight a short priced favourite makes a winning return to action under an excellent Aine O'Connor ride. Last seen when claiming a Listowel Hunters Chase last June, the eleven year old was produced with precision timing by O'Connor to lead on the short run in and will chart a similar path to last year, according to Enda Bolger.

O'Connor indicated that No Flies On Him, a son of Westerner, will join one of McManus' trainers for a track campaign this autumn.

There was a real family success here as 18 year old Danny Fitzgerald partnered a third career success aboard his father Martin Fitzgerald's Carrig Wells. Owned and bred by the handler's father Joe Fitzgerald, Carrig Wells led before two out and she held on grimly on the flat as long time leader Dul Ar Aghaidh closed as the line approached.

Banks racing returned to Knockanard as this three and a half mile race turned into a cracking contest with Richard O'Keeffe's renowned banks specialist Vital Island picking up the running after two out with Benny Walsh and then holding on valiantly to account for Space Cadet and The Red Menace in a driving three-way finish. The winner will now run in the Lingstown nomination race of the banks next month.

There was another family success here as 19 year old Andy Burke Ott landed this race aboard his father Alex Ott's Imperial Eddie. The six year old Imperial Eddie led from the fifth fence and stayed on in determined fashion to account for The Dollarlady by one and a half lengths.
